Rabaconda Street Bike Tyre Changer Wheel Support Riser Brackets
Rabaconda Wheel Support Riser Brackets provide an additional 34mm of clearance between the Street Bike Tyre Changer’s frame and plastic wheel support pads. They are designed for wheels where the hub, sprocket or belt pulley would otherwise contact the main frame before the rim reaches the support pads.
Raising the wheel into the correct working position provides the clearance required for safe operation and helps prevent the Street Bike Tyre Changer’s centre spindle from bending under load.
When Are Riser Brackets Required?
The riser brackets should be used whenever the width or shape of the wheel hub prevents the rim from resting correctly on the standard plastic wheel support pads.
They are particularly useful for:
• Rear motorcycle wheels with bolt-on sprockets
• Rear wheels fitted with belt-drive pulleys
• Wide or unusually shaped wheel hubs
• Earlier Rabaconda Street Bike Tyre Changers not originally supplied with riser brackets
• Replacing lost or damaged original riser brackets
Additional 34mm Clearance
Once installed, the brackets raise the magnetic plastic wheel support pads by 34mm. This allows wider wheel hubs, sprockets and belt pulleys to clear the tyre changer’s main frame while keeping the rim properly supported.
Helps Protect the Centre Spindle
Using the riser brackets when required keeps the wheel correctly positioned and supported during tyre removal and installation. This reduces unnecessary sideways loading and helps prevent damage or bending of the centre spindle.
Quick and Easy Installation
Attach each riser bracket to the Street Bike Tyre Changer’s main frame using the supplied fasteners. The standard magnetic plastic wheel support pads can then be positioned directly on top of the brackets.
The brackets can be installed when additional clearance is required and removed when returning to the standard wheel support configuration.
